DONATION TO CILT'S COROMANDEL PENSIONER HOUSING PROJECT

The Trust has donated $34,000 to the Coromandel Independent Living Trust (CILT) for its Coromandel Pensioner Housing Project. It has done so in the hope that this will remove the last obstacle to the rapid completion of this long delayed and much needed project.

The CSST is impressed by CILT's skill and fundraising capacities in bringing something very like what the Trust itself once hoped to achieve so close to fruition. It hopes that the "moving of the goal posts" will now stop, and suitable rental accommodation affordable by Coromandel/Colville ward's senior citizens can at last be built.

The Trust wishes to emphasise that this donation is made in fulfillment of its founding purpose to provide accommodation for the senior citizens of the Coromandel/Colville ward. It is not part of its Donations Programme that seeks to provide more modest donations for a much wider range of community causes and activities using investment income and the proceeds from the trading of its "Bizarre" charity shop. (Keep on supporting "The Bizarre" by donating goods to it and buying from it!)

DEATH OF LONG SERVING TRUSTEE

The Trust announces with sorrow and gratitude for her 17 years service as a Trustee, the death of JOCELYN HALL on 27 September. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.
